Jury Information
Our next jury selections are set for:
- February, 23, 2026
If you have one of the statutory reasons for excusal, which are listed on the front of the summons, please choose the one that applies to you and return your form to the Clerk’s Office. Full-time students may also be excused. Employment requests are not excusable. Medical notes from your doctor can be faxed to (850)547-6630. All others, please plan to report.

Reporting
You must report to the Courtroom located on the second floor of the Holmes County Courthouse,

Length of Service
Your first day of service is normally limited to jury selection. All juries for trials scheduled during the week are selected on the first day of service, and you will be instructed when to return for trial.
Attire
The dress code for court is general business attire. Casual attire is acceptable. However, you should not wear tank tops, shorts, or flip-flops.

Excusals
You may complete the Juror Excusal and Postponement form that is included on your jury summons form if you qualify for the excuses listed. Otherwise, follow the instructions on the form. If you need additional information or have an emergency that will prevent you from jury service, contact our office.
Payment for Jury Service
If you will receive regular pay from your employer during jury service, you are not entitled to compensation for the first three days of jury service. If you will not receive regular pay, you are entitled to receive $15 per day for the first three days of service. All jurors will receive $30 on the fourth day and $30 on each subsequent day. The Juror Compensation form included with your jury summons must be completed and turned in to the Clerk when you report.
Parking
Juror parking is provided in the parking lot across the street from the Holmes County Courthouse.
